Welcome to Broomfield School
Letter to Parents and Carers from Broomfields Acting Head Teacher |
| Dear parents and carers I would like to reassure you all of the high level of work that is continuing to ensure that the school makes the rapid progress that is necessary to move us out of the ‘special measures’ category that Ofsted place us in October 2011. The senior leadership team has been restructured to ensure that we focus on the key issues outlined in the Ofsted report. All staff have been trained and now fully understand the new Ofsted framework. The quality of teaching and learning is regularly monitored against demanding criteria to ensure that your child enjoys a high quality experience in all their subjects. A ‘Rapid recovery Group’ has been formed which is chaired by David Burrowes MP and governor of the school, to monitor the schools progress. This group will communicate regularly with parents though the ‘Broomfield Bulletin’; the first edition is enclosed. (click here to view) I was pleased by the number of parents who came to the parents’ evening that was arranged on 7th December 2011. I hope that this demonstrated the schools commitment to making sure that your child is fully supported to reach their full academic potential. We intend to hold further meetings for parents in the future to maintain this open dialogue and to receive feedback from you on the impact of the work we are undertaking. I would like to wish you all a happy Christmas and look forward to working in partnership with you in the New Year.
Yours sincerely Tayo Akamo Acting Headteacher |
